Here is my title
Novel November title
Permission To Be Her
“She was quiet until he told her not to be.”
I’ve been dying to finally talk about this one.
This is my book — Permission To Be Her.
It’s the story that’s been living in my head since a dream one night turned into an idea I couldn’t shake. It started as a fanfic spark — my love for MGK’s energy, his chaos, his heart — and grew into something completely my own.
The cover gives full rockstar romance vibes. It’s loud, confident, and a little uncertain — just like the story. Every time I look at it, it feels like I’m standing right on the edge of the stage, staring into the unknown of the music industry and saying, let’s go anyway.
The story follows Maya Hart, a girl who thought her graduation night would be her final performance. Instead, it turns into her first real beginning. Rockstar Colson Parker — known to the world as Mad Gun Kells — is the guest speaker. After Maya performs, he stops her before she leaves and asks her to come by. Five days later, they’re a couple. Two months later, they’re on the Find America Tour.
It’s wild. Messy. Fast. Real.
I’m writing this book as part of Novel November, and right now I’m about 25,000 words in — nine days of nonstop writing, playlists, and too much caffeine. But it feels right. It feels like something I was meant to write.
Because at its heart, this story isn’t just about music or love — it’s about finding the moment someone sees you for who you are and tells you to stop being quiet about it.
Permission To Be Her is my reminder that you don’t need permission to be the loudest, boldest, truest version of yourself.
WRITE WHAT NEEDS TO BE HEARD.
